California Coast Walk
When I walked the coast of California, from
1974 to 1984, there weren't many other people
doing it. A few hardy souls were biking the
Bicenntenial Bicycle Trail. Now it seems that a lot
of walkers have the itch to bag the Coast, and
there is even a nonprofit organization devoted
to creating a coastal trail, Coastwalk.org.
I think my story is interesting enough and packed
with enough information so that anybody who wants
to walk the California coast should read it. It
will help you past the cliffs and beaches--not to
mention the bikinis and Malibu bodyguards.
